When The Pinoy Relief Fund asked me to get involved in their campaign, I jumped on the opportunity to help spread the word.

T-Mobile announced today a multi-year partnership with international singer, songwriter and music icon, Shakira, and kicked off the collabo with a mega concert in New York’s Bryant Park. The Grammy Award-winner performed to an estimated crowd of 7,500 people, celebrating the phone carrier’s announcement that it is offering unlimited global data and texting in over 100 countries to qualifying Simple Choice customers at no extra charge.
“Today is all about bringing the world closer together,” Shakira said in the press release. “I’m excited to partner with T-Mobile and look forward to being able to share my music in new and innovative ways.”

VIDEO: Diana Nyad Swims For Hurricane Sandy Relief in the Heart of NYC — Exclusive!
Fresh off her record-breaking swim from Cuba to Florida, long-distance swim legend Diana Nyad embarked on a 48-hour continuous “Swim for Relief” to support Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts. The swim raised funds for AmeriCares, a nonprofit global health and disaster relief organization that delivers medicines, medical supplies and aid to people in need around the world and across the United States. P&G brands such as Duracell, Tide and Secret covered all event costs to maximize funds donated.

Supermodel, super mom, reality TV star and clothing designer Heidi Klum celebrated the 1 Year Birthday of her kids clothing line with Babies ‘R’Us, Truly Scrumptious by Heidi Klum, with a fashion show during Kids Fashion Week in NYC.
Before the show, Heidi posed with a balloon hat and flowers and her kid models with an astonishing array of 2,775 Baked By Melissa cupcakes. Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Kings of Leon & Stevie Wonder Headline Annual Global Citizen Festival
Musicians, politicians, celebrities and other public figures came together on Saturday afternoon (Sept 28) to help end global poverty at the annual Global Citizen Festival in NYC’s Central Park. This year’s headliners included Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Kings of Leon and a much-hyped finale by Stevie Wonder who performed for 60,000 people at The Great Lawn. Janelle Monae, Elvis Costello and Will.i.am also made appearances.
“Together, we can put every girl and boy in school,” said secretary Ban Ki-moon. “We can stop diseases. We can empower the world’s women and and protect our environment, this beautiful planet that is our only home.”

Twenty-Seven: A New Year Begins
I celebrated my birthday this week at JIMMY, the rooftop pool bar at The James Hotel and, boy, does it feel good to be 21… wink!
I slipped into my custom birthday suit (thanks to Moods of Norway) and sipped on spirits poolside with friends, family and even some familiar faces from television, including a stunning in silver Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Albie & Chris Manzo, Dean Sheremet, WWE Diva Alicia Fox, YouTube sensation Jessica Harlow and Keenyah Hill all came by to toast with me, thanks to an open spirits bar featuring ABSOLUT Vodka, Perrier-Jouet champagne, Heineken, Hint Water, and ZICO Coconut Water and bite-sized treats from Baked By Melissa and Treat House New York.

Katy Perry, John Mayer, Joan Rivers & More Celebrate Don Rickles — HOT SHOTS!
John Mayer was joined by his on-again girlfriend Katy Perry at the Friar’s Foundation Gala honoring legendary actor and comedian Don Rickles on Monday night. The love birds were reportedly very affectionate all night and were photographed leaving the event together, and later spotted at the trendy Greenwich Hotel.
Rickles was honored by the Friars Foundation in NYC’s Waldorf Astoria with their lifetime achievement award for comedy. Hollywood’s most elite came out to pay tribute to the comedy legend including Bob Newhart, Robert De Niro, Joan Rivers, John Stamos, Billy Crystal, and Bette Midler.
The night was filled with tribute videos by a number of late-night comedy show hosts including David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Jay Leno and Craig Ferguson. The event’s grand finale was a singing rendition of “The Best Is Yet To Come,” performed by Bette Midler, Billy Crystal, Diana Krall, Natalie Cole, Bob Newhart, Tony Danza and more.

North Shore Animal League supporter Beth Ostrosky Stern was spotted at Renaissance Hotels Global Day of Discovery on Wednesday in NYC spending time with adorable kittens and puppies that need to find a home.
150 properties participated in the movement around the world, to provide guests with something new to discover all on one day in over 35 countries. The New York Times Square Hotel partnered with the North Shore Animal League of America to provide New Yorkers the opportunity to adopt a pet on-site with their mobile pet adoption unit.

The Trevor Project, founded in 1998, is an American non-profit organization focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth. Through a toll-free telephone number, it operates “The Trevor Lifeline”, a confidential service that offers trained counselors. The project also provides guidance and vital resources to parents and educators in order to foster safe, accepting and inclusive environments for all youth, at home and at school.

VIDEO: Bruno Mars Headlines Samsung Launch Event In New York City
On Thursday night in NYC, Samsung celebrated the launch of its Samsung Experience Shops at Best Buy locations nationwide, as well as the arrival of the brand new Galaxy S 4 smartphone, with a big ‘ole megabash!
To get the party started, Rev Run (of Run DMC) joined DJ Ruckus for a 45-minute set, after which guests were treated to an intimate concert by Bruno Mars, who played fan favorites including “Locked Out of Heaven,” “Marry you,” “Treasure” and “When I Was Your Man.”
