Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie At Mega Concert in NYC’s Bryant Park — VIDEO

T-Mobile announced today a multi-year partnership with international singer, songwriter and music icon, Shakira, and kicked off the collabo with a mega concert in New York’s Bryant Park. The Grammy Award-winner performed to an estimated crowd of 7,500 people, celebrating the phone carrier’s announcement that it is offering unlimited global data and texting in over 100 countries to qualifying Simple Choice customers at no extra charge.
“Today is all about bringing the world closer together,” Shakira said in the press release. “I’m excited to partner with T-Mobile and look forward to being able to share my music in new and innovative ways.”

VIDEO: Diana Nyad Swims For Hurricane Sandy Relief in the Heart of NYC — Exclusive!
Fresh off her record-breaking swim from Cuba to Florida, long-distance swim legend Diana Nyad embarked on a 48-hour continuous “Swim for Relief” to support Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts. The swim raised funds for AmeriCares, a nonprofit global health and disaster relief organization that delivers medicines, medical supplies and aid to people in need around the world and across the United States. P&G brands such as Duracell, Tide and Secret covered all event costs to maximize funds donated.

Katy Perry, John Mayer, Joan Rivers & More Celebrate Don Rickles — HOT SHOTS!
John Mayer was joined by his on-again girlfriend Katy Perry at the Friar’s Foundation Gala honoring legendary actor and comedian Don Rickles on Monday night. The love birds were reportedly very affectionate all night and were photographed leaving the event together, and later spotted at the trendy Greenwich Hotel.
Rickles was honored by the Friars Foundation in NYC’s Waldorf Astoria with their lifetime achievement award for comedy. Hollywood’s most elite came out to pay tribute to the comedy legend including Bob Newhart, Robert De Niro, Joan Rivers, John Stamos, Billy Crystal, and Bette Midler.
The night was filled with tribute videos by a number of late-night comedy show hosts including David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Jay Leno and Craig Ferguson. The event’s grand finale was a singing rendition of “The Best Is Yet To Come,” performed by Bette Midler, Billy Crystal, Diana Krall, Natalie Cole, Bob Newhart, Tony Danza and more.

The Trevor Project, founded in 1998, is an American non-profit organization focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth. Through a toll-free telephone number, it operates “The Trevor Lifeline”, a confidential service that offers trained counselors. The project also provides guidance and vital resources to parents and educators in order to foster safe, accepting and inclusive environments for all youth, at home and at school.
Each year, on both coasts, the organization brings together some of Entertainment’s most famous (and loved) faces from the stage to the television for their annual fundraising gala, Trevor LIVE. This year the event was hosted by “Glee” star Jane Lynch, and featured performances by American Idol runner-up and Interscope recording artist Jessica Sanchez and “Kinky Boots” TONY Winner Billy Porter, as well as special appearances by Meghan McCain and her mother Cindy McCain, Andy Cohen, “Precious” actress Gabourey Sidibe, Willie Garson, “Jersey Shore” stars Snooki and JWoww.

Celebrities Sound Off On Kentucky Derby Firsts & Fashion
All sorts of celebrities flocked to Churchill Downs to celebrate the 139th running of the Kentucky Derby, where Orb took the win.
Lance Bass, Lauren Conrad, Jason Biggs, Tiki Barber, Scottie Pippin, Kid Rock, Krysten Ritter, Joey Fatone, Miranda Lambert, Star Jones, Jason Biggs, Jenny Mollen, Christian Siriano, Carson Kressley, Jai Rodriguez and supermodel Coco Rocha were among the stars who walked the red carpet and signed a 6-liter bottle of Moet & Chandon Imperial for the brand’s ‘Sign for the Roses’ philanthropic initiative, which raises money for the Churchill Downs foundation.
Though it was pouring down rain, the celebrity attendees stayed dry on the tent covered red carpet, which provided shelter from storm.
Jennifer Hudson and Tom Brady were spotted in Millionaire’s Row but neither decided to walk the red carpet.

Olympic gymnast Gabrielle Douglas has won support from the World!
The flood of good words has come after Douglas won the gold medal in the women’s gymnastics all around competition at the London 2012 Olympics. Douglas helped the US women’s gymnastic squad take home their first gold medal in the team competition since 1996! Douglas is the first African-American Olympic champion in all-around gymnastics, and also the third U.S. gymnast in a row to take home the all-around gold medal! That’s the way to do it!

Spice Girls Are Reuniting Yet Again! Announce “Viva Forever!”
Spice Girls Mel C, Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell and Emma Burton have reunited in London for the launch of the new stage musical, Viva Forever! for the first time since their tour in 2008. Viva Forever! centers around four women whose friendships are tested when their band competes on a TV talent competition show. The show will feature some of our favorite of the hit 90′s group’s songs such as “Wannabe,” “Spice Up Your Life,” and “Mama.”
Halliwell commented on the show: “Sixteen years ago when we were writing the words ‘zig-a-zig-ah,’ we could never have imagined they would be in a West End show.”
Viva Forever! is produced by Judy Cramer who is also behind Abba musical Mama Mia! The show set to open on Dec. 11 at London’s Piccadilly Theatre.
We can’t wait to hear the soundtrack!

Paris Hilton debuted her dj skills at at the Pop Music Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Wearing a sequin ensemble with tights and gloves, she treated fans to some remixes of Rihanna‘s ‘We Found Love’, fun.‘s ‘We Are Young’, and her brand new single, ‘Last Night’. She also sported a pair of diamond encrusted headphones as she danced the night away behind the dj booth.
Paris tweeted throughout the day, keeping fans well informed on her status before the show. One of her tweets read: “Busy day preparing for my show tonight. I’m so nervous and excited. I can’t wait to get up there and see #SaoPaulo dance!”
