My little sister is all grown up!!!!!

You might know her from “American Idol” or as Frida Romero on “Glee,” but over the years I’ve come to know Jessica Sanchez as my little sister or by nicknames like “boo thang” or “cray cray.”

I can say so many wonderful things about her, but the one thing I love most about her is that she’s still the same genuinely sweet, hardworking, and grateful girl she always has been. The only thing different about Jessica now? She keeps getting more and more talented and more and more people know who she is… Including savvy New York paparazzi!

Music, of course, is her #1 passion. But, she also has a passion for fashion! We spent Mother’s Day afternoon shopping in SoHo (and thanks to Google Alerts I found these cute pictures from our fun filled day around town!). You wouldn’t believe the eye she has already for style at only 17-years-old. For the readers out there that love the Jessica Sanchez signature style, she scored BIG at Catharine Malandrino, 7 For All Mankind, 3NY and TOPSHOP.

A fashionable set put away their iPhones last night at Big Apple hot spot STK Rooftop, for the MANHATTAN Modern Luxury launch of the BlackBerry Z10 – which I had the pleasure of co-hosting. Other influencers who helped host the festive Spring soiree included Barry Parasram, Camille Hunt, Britt McVicker, Timo Weiland, Alan Eckstein, Allison Julius, Louis Marra and Devon Mosley.

Grammy Award winning artist Ciara stopped by Music Choice to chat with me about her “Body Party” music video (released today!), new self-titled album Ciara (out July 9th!), and lots more… you won’t want to miss the 26:30 mark where “CiCi” teaches me her famous “Ride” dance moves!

About her boyfriend, Future, and what she looks for in a man:
“I like someone who’s confident and someone who knows what they want and isn’t afraid of expressing that. I like someone who likes to have a good time. [Future] is a man — and you know what that is right away when you see it. There’s nothing like when a man is just simply being a man and shows up that way.”

About her new self-titled album:
“["Ciara"] ended up being the best title for this album in particular. The One Woman Army hasn’t gone away; I want my fans to know that. It’s now just a part of the whole movement and journey that is me. It’s a solid combination of R&B and pop. More than anything, I want you to feel something. I want you to feel authenticity, where I come from as a person.

On Friday (April 12), brotherly boy band Hanson stopped by Music Choice in NYC for a LIVE sit down interview with yours truly. The brothers talked about everything from their famous “Mmbop” track to their new album “Anthem” (out June 18th!) and just about everything in between!

On Monday (Apr 1) I had the pleasure of sitting down with singer Andy Grammer for a LIVE 30-minute interview on Music Choice’s show “U&A.” We talked about everything from his beginnings as a “busker” (street performer) in Los Angeles to performing with the incredible Taylor Swift.

Over the last few months, people have been asking me how I have slimmed down & toned up. Thank you to all of you who’ve taken notice — it sure has been a lot of work!

But, I couldn’t have done it alone.

I’m thrilled to share I’ve partnered with Crunch Gyms, and personal trainer Peter Morgese, to get me beach body ready (on another level!) in just about 8 weeks.

We are training three times a week, each week with a different area of focus. For the first three weeks, we are focusing on stabilization, endurance then strength.

I will be keeping you all updated on my work outs and progress here and on Twitter/Instagram (follow me @MicahJesse!) so that, you too, can have that body you’ve always wanted.
