The 2012 Sundance Film Festival Unofficial Celebrity Party & Event Round Up
The Sundance Film Festival, as always, brought out tons of stars and Micah Jesse has your celebrity roundup of who was where and what they took home in their swag bags! Here we go…
The Bertolli Meal Soup Chalet hosted by Gen Art at the Sky Lodge brought out do-gooder stars like Anthony Mackie, Jesse Williams, Justin Long, Isla Fisher, Laura Prepon, Andy MacDowell, Ben Lyons and many more. Many of the celeb guests who came through were excited to support Bertolli’s mission (in conjunction with Feeding America) to donate 400,000 meals to the hungry by signing a ladle for the “Ladles of Love” Wall. Stars also picked up swag from SOLSTICE Sunglass Boutique, Tic-Tac Mints, and Lumene skin care products before heading back out to bear the cold. (#sp)
A cozy spot to hang out, relax, and check out some seriously amazing bands was the Bing Bar, which hosted concerts by mega artists including Wiz Khalifa, Cobra Starship, and Jason Mraz. The Bing Bar was also host to quite a few screening after parties, even getting festival founder Robert Redford to stop by.
The Talent Resources & Kari Feinstein gifting suites were host to a bevvy of stars including Tinsley Mortimer, AnnaLynne McCord, and Mario Lopez. Celeb guests such as these received clothing, gifts and goodies from Vice Merchants, Hint Water, Sean Jean, DL1961 Premium Denim, while jamming to music by DJ’s Mick Boogie and Silver Medallion.
Park City Live was host to concerts all weekend long from huge names including LMFAO’s Red Foo & The Party Rock Crew, Deadmau5, Afrojack, Ludacris, Big Sean, and OneRepublic. In between “party rocking,” the LMFAO crew was seen snacking on a variety pack of Baked By Melissa cupcakes.
Learning to ski with celebs? Sign us up! That’s what was going on at the Oakley Learn to Ride Powered by AT&T and the League of Super Fast Things event below the Hyde Lounge pop-up on Main Street. This exciting retreat brought out stars like Ryan Kwanten, Anne Heche, Sal Masekela and Mario Lopez with his beautiful wife Courtney Mazza. In between learning to ski, celebs sipped on Muscle Milk Cookies and Cream to recharge.
Nearly 80 Sundance celebs including William H. Macy, Christina Hendricks, and Ice-T stopped by the McCafé Lounge at The Village at the Lift this past weekend and participating in McCafe Project Warm Up: Lend a Hand to Warm a Heart to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). McDonald’s made an on-the-spot donation for each celebrity that stopped by to “lend a hand to warm a heart” and all of the quilt patches will now be turned into a beautiful quilt and auctioned off during the 2012 McDonald’s All American Games in March to benefit RMHC.
Stars like Elizabeth Olsen, SNL’s Will Forte and AnnaLynne McCord flocked to the Element Electronics Apres Ski Retreat to sip on specialty cocktails from The Mulberry Project, get their hair done up by Nine Zero One Salon (with products from Unite), and take home swag from IceLink Watches.
The VEVO PowerStation & SOREL Suite featuring the Fresh Lounge presented by Continuum Entertainment Group (CEG) welcomed stars like Jason Ritter, Common, Ben Flajink, Natasha Bedingfield, William H. Macy, Jon Heder, Danny Glover, Ariel Winter, and many more, who came by to pick up swag and hang out.
Christina Hendricks and husband Geoffrey Arend, Ty Burrell, Spike Lee, Eric Mabius, Jon Heder among others stopped by the Nintendo 3DS Experience at Sundance to check out the brand’s “latest and greatest.” MJ stopped by too and was blown away by the 3D-sunglasses-less visuals on the new Nintendo 3DS! (The lounge even featured specialty cocktails using Emergen-C!)
Distinguished actors Bruce Willis, Chris Kattan and an all-grown-up Joshua Jackson made appearances at Goodnight Gansevoort at The ONE Group House, where guests snacked on small bites from Baked By Melissa and STK.
Playboy and Bombay Sapphire presented the Imaginative Filmmakers Spotlight at the AXE Hair Media Lounge during the Sundance Film Festival, hosted by Anthony Mackie, and attended by guests including: Nia Vardalos, Scott Wolf, David Burtka, Edward James Olmos, Tiffany Hines, Questlove, Marshall Lewy (Writer, Director California Solo), and Sheldon Candis (Writer, Director Luv).
