Celebrities are using their star power to put a spotlight on the arts.
Alec Baldwin headed to Capitol Hill to speak about how important the arts is in a child’s education.
Stars like Baldwin, Tiffani Thiessen, and Ben Folds are part of Americans for Arts, a nonprofit that supports the arts and arts education.
Folds even credited his musical success to arts programs in public schools, saying that they give kids a “well-balanced curriculum.”
According to CBS News, the group hopes to increase the federal funding for the National Endowment for the Arts from $147 million to $155 million by next year.
