On Tuesday (Jul 6), actor Nicolas Cage celebrated the New York premiere of his latest film, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” at the New Amsterdam Theater in Times Square.
The 46-year-old actor stopped to talk to NBC Niteside, admitting that landing the lead role as Balthazar Blake in this film is a childhood dream come true, saying, “I would spend a lot of time in the backyard and pretend that I was a wizard … I really loved the idea of casting spells. I think I must have willed this movie to happen because I get to finally play a wizard.”
Smiling, he added, “It just fell in my lap. Magically.”
Loves it!
“The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” hits theaters on Wednesday, July 14!
