Is Zumba This Summer’s Newest Hottest Workout Trend?

Extra‘s Mario Lopez must think so, as he cozied up to celebrity Zumba instructor Gina Grant (and over 100 Zumba Instructors) for a hot and sweaty 30-minute workout, at The Grove in LA yesterday (June 8).

But, Mario isn’t the only celeb who is giving the new fitness craze a shot…

As she gears up for her upcoming nuptuals, The View‘s Sherri Shepherd revealed her new fitness plan, saying, “I started on the South Beach Diet because I gave them my fantasy size, so I now got to get into it,” Shepherd told PEOPLE. “Elisabeth told me to tell the truth but I lied. So I’m going to the gym and starting Zumba tomorrow.”

Zumba Fitness is the largest dance-fitness company in the world, known for having a blend of contagious and easy-to-follow choreographies, set to upbeat international rhythms. (Sounds like a fun way to work out to us!)
