Stars like Hugh Jackman and Barbara Walters came out to support Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury Sunday night (Dec 13), at the “A Little Night Music” premiere at the Walter Kerr Theater.
The red carpet was celeb studded with appearances by lots of celebs including Catherine’s hubby Michael Douglas, designer Diane Von Furstenburg and Kathleen Turner.
Trevor Nunn directs the first-ever Broadway revival of the Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler musical.
Catherine Zeta-Jones has received rave reviews, the Hollywood Reporter says, “Zeta-Jones is captivating as Desiree. The actress has musical theater experience, and it shows; she has terrific stage presence, unlike so many movie stars who tread the boards, and she sings and moves beautifully.”
The stars flocked to Tavern on The Green for the opening night celebration after after party.
Strange choice for the celebration, as the historic Central Park restaurant will be closing at the end of this month.
Don’t worry — if history repeats itself — Tavern on The Green will hopefully reopen sometime in the future…
Congrats to Catherine Zeta-Jones for rocking the stage!
