Country music superstar Carrie Underwood is opening up about everything from grappling with all that comes with fame and her personality to her marriage with husband Mike Fisher and what she wrote about herself in her high school yearbook, in the June issue of Marie Claire’s (on stands May 21st).

On her personality: “I’m not a mushy person at all. We were never a huggy family. Or a ‘let’s talk it out’ family. Technically I have siblings but they are quite a bit older than me – I was the accident – so I have the only-child syndrome going on. I’m a little more selfish, a little more independent, a little closed. I do wish I were softer. I wish I were able to form relationships better. But hey, I mean…I’m not a sociopath.”

On anxiety: “At the beginning of my career, I used to have panic attacks. People were touching me, screaming – it made me really nervous. In public, I just get nervous. It’s a physical reaction, feeling like the walls are closing in. The fans are great. It’s not their fault. I don’t ever want to come across as ungrateful. But on my end, it is hard for me to process. Because I am still just me.”

On awkward moments: “My husband calls me the queen of awkward moments. Anything that can be made awkward, I will make it awkward.”

What she wrote in her high school yearbook: “You were supposed to say what you would be doing in 10 years, and I said, ‘I will be rich, famous, and married to a hot guy.’ I guess I should have added a few more things.”

On having kids: “I don’t feel old enough to have kids. I know I am mature. But being responsible for another human?”

My little sister is all grown up!!!!!

You might know her from “American Idol” or as Frida Romero on “Glee,” but over the years I’ve come to know Jessica Sanchez as my little sister or by nicknames like “boo thang” or “cray cray.”

I can say so many wonderful things about her, but the one thing I love most about her is that she’s still the same genuinely sweet, hardworking, and grateful girl she always has been. The only thing different about Jessica now? She keeps getting more and more talented and more and more people know who she is… Including savvy New York paparazzi!

Music, of course, is her #1 passion. But, she also has a passion for fashion! We spent Mother’s Day afternoon shopping in SoHo (and thanks to Google Alerts I found these cute pictures from our fun filled day around town!). You wouldn’t believe the eye she has already for style at only 17-years-old. Kyle Richards is one busy woman!

She is a doting wife, mom to four, likable reality television star, successful store owner and proud philanthropist — and yet she balances it all so well, thanks to multitasking, healthy AND smart eating (she loves fresh veggies from the farmers market!) and hitting the gym hard!

“I’m picking up my kids from school while I am talking to you, was at the store this morning…got my nails done first… I am always go go go go,” Richards told me. But as active as she is, keeping her body in shape, she says, “isn’t easy.” She commits to power yoga once a week and circuit training the rest of the week.

As much as Kyle Richards enjoys her busy life, she is greatly looking forward to “doing absolutely nothing” on Mother’s Day  on June 12th: “I like to do as little as possible. I just like to sleep in and have someone else make the breakfast.” For Father’s Day, however, it’s the total opposite this year. While normally she encourages husband Mauricio to play golf, this year they will be spending in Aspen, Colorado hiking and, Kyle insists, shopping: “That’s the only way to get to me to go. We can ride our bikes to shop.”

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star takes time though, in between her many responsibilities, to raise awareness for causes close to her heart. Kyle has recently partnered with the March of Dimes in honor of the organization’s 75th Anniversary and the annual Imbornto campaign.

“As a mom of four, the most important thing to me is to make sure we have healthy babies being born and that’s what March of Dimes has been doing for 75 years. From vaccines, to medications, funding research and raising awareness. So this is so important to me.”

Also a strong supporter of LGBT rights, Kyle will be presenting at this weekend’s 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in San Francisco.

A fashionable set put away their iPhones last night at Big Apple hot spot STK Rooftop, for the MANHATTAN Modern Luxury launch of the BlackBerry Z10 – which I had the pleasure of co-hosting. Other influencers who helped host the festive Spring soiree included Barry Parasram, Camille Hunt, Britt McVicker, Timo Weiland, Alan Eckstein, Allison Julius, Louis Marra and Devon Mosley.

Later on in the evening, Carrera hosted a larger-than-life concert at 5 Beekman, featuring performances by The Dolls: Mia Moretti and Caitlin Moe and an electrifying set from Capital Cities — my new favorite group! The buzz in the room was that we’ve all heard their music, and facial expressions agreed they are going to be BIG!!!!!

All sorts of celebrities flocked to Churchill Downs to celebrate the 139th running of the Kentucky Derby, where Orb took the win.

Lance Bass, Lauren Conrad, Jason Biggs, Tiki Barber, Scottie Pippin, Kid Rock, Krysten Ritter, Joey Fatone, Miranda Lambert, Star Jones, Jason Biggs, Jenny Mollen, Christian Siriano, Carson Kressley, Jai Rodriguez and supermodel Coco Rocha were among the stars who walked the red carpet and signed a 6-liter bottle of Moet & Chandon Imperial for the brand’s ‘Sign for the Roses’ philanthropic initiative, which raises money for the Churchill Downs foundation.

Though it was pouring down rain, the celebrity attendees stayed dry on the tent covered red carpet, which provided shelter from storm.

Jennifer Hudson and Tom Brady were spotted in Millionaire’s Row but neither decided to walk the red carpet.

Lance Bass told the media, “I’ve been planning the Derby for 15 years, and I never get to come! So I put it in the schedule like, “Nobody is booking me this day!” And, it’s my birthday, too, so it’s my celebration. This is how I’m celebrating. There’s nothing else I need more than the Derby.” He also sounded off on NBA star Jason Collins’ coming out: “He’s going to save a lot of people’s lives… A lot of kids need someone to look up to, especially in the sports arena. I think a lot of kids are just cheering him on right now and just finding themselves saying, ‘Wow, I have somebody I can relate to now.’”

Fellow former NSYNC’er Joey Fatone (dressed in Moods of Norway) said, “Lance Bass is coming, it’s his first year here, and it’s his birthday!”

Designer Christian Siriano excitedly told reporters his first flagship store will be celebrating its one year anniversary soon.

Lauren Conrad confessed she’s been wanting to come to the Derby for years. “I didn’t make [my hat], but I picked out the colors and designed it! I liked that it was a giant flower!”

Actor Jason Biggs jokingly said: “[Going to the Derby] has been on my bucket list – can you have a bucket list when you’re in your 30s? It’s something I’ve been talking about going to forever, so I figured I’d cash in some of that ‘celebrity cred’ before I lose it all!”

On Thursday night in NYC, Samsung celebrated the launch of its Samsung Experience Shops at Best Buy locations nationwide, as well as the arrival of the brand new Galaxy S 4 smartphone, with a big ‘ole megabash!

To get the party started, Rev Run (of Run DMC) joined DJ Ruckus for a 45-minute set, after which guests were treated to an intimate concert by Bruno Mars, who played fan favorites including “Locked Out of Heaven,” “Marry you,” “Treasure” and “When I Was Your Man.”

At the concert, guests – including Rosario Dawson, singer Jason Derulo, Katrina Bowden (30 Rock) and Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire) – were treated to an interactive experience resembling a giant Samsung Experience Shop featuring all of Samsung’s hottest new technology such as the brand new Galaxy S 4 smartphone and Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet, as well as the Galaxy Camera, the Galaxy Note II and more.

Fans used the Galaxy S 4′s new camera feature Dual Shot to take a photo of the concert and themselves at the same time. Throughout the evening, guests earned tokens to redeem for prizes including Free Bruno Mars Music Download, Fedora, Samsung Muse MP3, Serious Sound Ear Buds and Samsung products including the Galaxy Note 10.0, Galaxy S 4, Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy Camera and a Samsung 46” Smart TV!

Designer  Isaac Mizrahi was joined by famous friends including Gabourey Sidibe, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Laura Linney, John Benjamin Hickey, Marcus Samuelsson and Amy Fine Collins, for the the third annual Spring Party, benefitting Good Shepherd Services.

The fabulous evening, which included cocktails, a dinner menu created by Samuelsson and dancing, served as a fundraising event highlighting the work Good Shepherd Services has accomplished over the past year and benefitted the thousands of at-risk children, youth, and families that Good Shepherd Services assists through its various programs.

The evening concluded with an auction of one-of-a-kind Swarovski crystal adorned centerpieces, designed specially by Isaac Mizrahi for the event. All proceeds raised from the auction will benefit the work of Good Shepherd Services.

Join actor Ben Affleck, and other famous faces such as Sofia Bush, Josh Groban, Hunter Biden, and husband and wife Cooking Channel personalities Debi Mazar and Gabriele Corcos have committed to take the 2013 Live Below the Line challenge by living on $1.50 of food and drink for at least one day between April 29 – May 3 to raise awareness about extreme poverty. Live Below the Line aims to help people better empathize with the challenge that 1.4 billion people face, and encourages global citizens to participate and raise funds to support the partner organizations.
