Izzy Gold / Ronald McDonald House

Izzy Gold Records, through its Izzy Gold Cares initiative offered its recording and production services to the Ronald McDonald House of New York, a facility that offers temporary housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families, on Wednesday December 10, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. at Uptime Studios (251 West 30th Street, Suite 8FW) in New York City.

The songs will ultimately be available for digital download with 100% of the profits going to the Ronald McDonald House of New York.

The recording session will feature two songs that the children from the Ronald McDonald House of New York have composed and practiced for ten weeks with members of The New York Pops titled “Cancer Sucks” and “Rock Star.”

Training of the band was led by Dr. Sherrie Maricle, percussionist/drummer for the orchestra and Director of Education for The New York Pops. Super Producer and fashion designer Izzy Gold (aka Chris Young) will work with the children to record and produce the songs.

Andy Hilfiger Entertainment will be donating the studio time. A generous donation of clothing to the children of the Ronald McDonald House of New York was made by the Tommy Hilfiger Corporate Foundation.

Love to see people doing good, especially around the holidays!
