“Real Housewives of NYC” star Kelly Bensimon isn’t the heartless tyrant some people try to paint her out to be!

She showed off her “sweet” side this week when asked by a reporter about her supposed “enemy” cast mate Bethenny Frankel and her decision to leave the show:

“You make career moves, and I mean she had her time on ‘Housewives,’ and now she wants to enjoy her family and her show and that’s awesome,” Bensimon told NBC Niteside while judging the Appleton Estate Reserve’s Bartender’s Challenge at Macao Trading Co. in Tribeca on Tuesday (Aug 31).

“We’re not really friends off the show,” Bensimon has said. “We’re cast. I’m paid. It’s my job.”

The cat fights were undeniably fun to watch on TV, but it’s great to see KB playing nice in the field!

MJ was the first to report that teen queen Miley Cyrus would make an appearance at teen prince Justin Bieber‘s sold out concert at Madison Square Garden.

…and boy, were we right!

The young starlet joined “The Biebz” on stage to help him sing his ballady song, “Overboard,” and made thousands of girls scream!

Guess it’s not a surprise anymore — Micah Jesse can confirm that Boyz II Men, Kanye West, Usher, and pop queen Miley Cyrus will all be making special surprise apperances at tonight’s show!

At around 3PM on Tuesday (Aug 31), Bieber tweeted, “IM FEELING GREAT!!!  LET’s MAKE SOME HISTORY NYC!!  MORE SURPRISES THAN EVER TONIGHT!!! THANK U ALL!!  2nite a dream becomes REAL!!”

24-year-old Lindsay Lohan blames her youth, her absent father and her own poor choice of role models, in a revealing new interview with Vanity Fair, out this month.

“I was irresponsible. And I’m not making excuses,” Lohan says, according to USA Today and the New York Post.

But does LiLo think she is an alcoholic?

“If I were the alcoholic everyone says I am,” she says, “then putting a [scram] bracelet on would have ended me up in detox, in the emergency room, because I would have had to come down from all the things that people say I’m taking and my father says I’m taking – so that says something, because I was fine.”

What about drug use?

“I’ve never abused prescription drugs. I never have – never in my life. I have no desire to. That’s not who I am,” she says. “I’ve admitted to the things that I’ve done – to, you know, dabbling in certain things and trying things ’cause I was young and curious and thought it was like, okay, ’cause other people were doing it and other people put it in front of me. And I see what happened in my life because of it.”

Sounds like a little bit of denial to MJ, but…

So, the AP’s Alicia Quarles moderated a “hot topic” discussion about who is a bigger “Hot Mess” between TV personality Heidi Montag, 23, and singer Whitney Houston, 47, on her show, “The Real Scoop.”

Since the Summer brings the heat, Alicia invited yours truly, Micah Jesse, and PopEater scribe Rob Shuter to come on her show and battle it out…

Montag had nearly a dozen nip-and-tuck plastic surgeries in 24-hours using fat from her own body, and Houston is charging people upwards of $100 to go to her shows that she struggles to get through.

Both are undeniably “hot messes,” but who is a bigger hot mess?
