Simply riveting!
Brandy, why don’t you show off this kind of vocal range on your albums?
Wow! We never thought we’d say that, but indeed, it is true.
Songstresses Brandy & Monica performed their ole’ hit “The Boy Is Mine” - without music accompaniment, mind you – for an excited crowd in our hometown of Atlanta.
The concert was put together by urban R&B and Hip Hop radio station V103.
Indulge in this nostalgic moment:
We’ve been following the progress of YouTube sensation Jessica Sanchez for quite some time now. We frequently post her videos here on MicahJesse.com. But, when we finally heard from the little starlet via MySpace – she wrote me a very sweet message to thank me for supporting her – we had to ask her some questions.

Brandy and Monica “The Boy Is Mine”
Wednesday night we attended a celebration for a new line of cosmetics by Elizabeth Grant at PIR Cosmetics in NYC.
[Huge thank you to Bryce Gruber of IntenCITY Global for the special invitation! You are truly fantastic!]
The launch was a HUGE success! Many of Manhattan’s most talented and fabulous were in attendance.
We saw some familiar faces and met many, many new ones!
We sipped on a new line of delicious wine called Oops! all night long while we mingled with the guests.
At one point in the night, we were asked to be interviewed for Channel 25, NYCTV about being a blogger, a student by day and social by night, and what to expect out of MICAH JESSE in the future. Kela Walker was a great host and we can’t wait to catch the interview on TV!
It was very exciting!
One of the coolest things that happened to us all night was that someone recognized us from MICAHJESSE.COM! This wonderful person, who we chatted with for a while is a blogger herself, Claire Sulmers. She writes The Fashion Bomb (We’ve linked to it, on the right side of the page—>). She’s totally adorable, and also from Georgia!!!
We also met Elizabeth Grant’s granddaughter, Margot Witz, who was the sweetest thing! She demonstrated how to use some of the beautiful products and even offered to send us a care package of products for us to try out!
Mingling some more we met Adam Gerstein, founder and CEO of beautyADDICTS [link] – an incredible line of cosmetics! We chatted with him for a while about cosmetics in general, skin care, public relations, our double life as a student by day and a party animal (we kid, we kid) by night and what to expect out of his line of cosmetics in the future.
We must mention that he sent us the most incredible package the next day filled with samples from his line! We can’t wait to try everything out!!!
We met so many amazing people!
The night came to a close with an Oops! Wine photoshoot! Too funny…

After the event, we made a quick stop at Pinkberry on Spring Street (which was an awful experience! The people that work there were so unnecessarily rude!) before heading to Stereo’s 2nd Anniversary Celebration!
The room was decorated beautifully with the ceiling covered in white balloons. We saw so many of our favorite faces: Lisette Sand-Friedman, Ali and Fallyn Valenti, and Michelle Davidson from Shadow PR, Renee Brodeuer from Sony BMG, Ricky Campbell, Rebecca Zhou and Kayla Varcoe, Max Jones, Alexander Jervy Smith and his beautiful girlfriend Liskula, and Aaron Reid (from My Super Sweet Sixteen and music mogul L.A. Reid’s son, who claims he remembered meeting me, but we’ve totally never met before). Nice to meet you, though, Aaron!
We didn’t stay long as we were totally exhausted but we heard the rest of the night was great with performances by Gym Class Heroes and a surprise performance by John Mayer! Also in attendance was Brandy’s singer bro and sometimes porn star Ray J, Star Jones, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, The Naked Cowboy, Mickey “So Rich, So Pretty” Avalon, and our homeboy Constantine Maroulis.
