He’s sexy, he’s smart (…went to Harvard!) and he makes music that will make you get on your feet and dance. Meet BAKER. The hottest new face in the world of Electro Pop music. Micah Jesse caught up with Baker:
Describe to me when you first knew you wanted to make music. What was it about making music and/or performing that attracted you?
When I was 8 years old at summer camp, it was my counselor’s idea for all of us to perform “Stand By Me” for the other groups. I remember the counselor loved my voice so much she put the microphone right in front of me, so even though everyone was singing, the crowd could only hear me. And I think on the surface, I enjoyed the attention (I still do) but really it was more about communication. If someone has a voice of their own – whether that means singing or public speaking or writing, they should develop it and share it.
- …to the “electro pop” genre specifically?
That’s the style that fit my writing and my voice the best; it was a pretty clear choice right from the start.
Who do you make music for? Who is your target audience?
I don’t have one; I’ve been amazed by how many different people of all ages and places and walks of life that have discovered my music, so I hope it only continues to expand.

In the new issue of Marie Claire magazine (February 2012), pop singer Christina Aguilera sounds off on her self-image and the ups and downs of raising her son, Max, as a single mother.
All in all, it sounds like X-Tina is in a very good place — which is good news to us!
On her body: “I’ve been through my highs, I’ve been through my lows; I’ve been through the gamut of all things in this business. Being too thin. Being bigger. I’ve been criticized for being on both sides of the scale. It’s noise I block out automatically. I love my body. My boyfriend loooves my body. My son is healthy and happy, so that’s all that matters to me.”
On single motherhood: “It’s hard not having the consistency of a partnership on a daily basis. It’s a struggle. But I can’t single out my ex-husband [as the problem] because he’s a devoted father and great with my son. We always make sure that we put Max first. I have help from family and good people around me in support of my career. I couldn’t do what I do without a strong team behind me.”

How adorable is hot new artist Cady Groves? She looks like she would totes be our BFF if we knew her. Anyhow, check out her debut music video for her single “This Little Girl!” The video even features “The Voice” coach Blake Shelton… which is a pretty good sign we’ll be seeing a lot more of Miss Cady. Check out her music video right here on MJ:

It turns out, that like the rest of America, pop star Christina Aguilera loves herself some Adele!
The “The Voice” coach got the chance to pose with the songstress backstage when she attended Adele’s concert in California last night and she shared the pic– with fans on her official Twitter account.
“Me & Adele. “Someone Like You” is my favorite!,” Xtina tweeted. “Beautiful to see all her fans sing it tonight! ;) love u Adele.”
Christina wasn’t the only star that turned out for Adele’s sold-out Los Angeles concert. We’re told “Twilight” hunk Robert Pattinson, America Ferrera, some of the cast members from “Glee,” and Jessica Simpson and her fiance, Eric Johnson, were in the house as well.

Kevin Jonas, wife Danielle, Diddy, Khloe Kardashian and Ryan Seacrest cozy up for a “HOT SHOT!” at The Top of The Standard on Monday (June 6) in NYC.
All these stars, and more, were on hand to celebrate the launch of the new iHeartRadio iPad App.
iHeartRadio.com and the iHeartRadio mobile app delivers more than 750 of America’s favorite radio stations from 150 cities. iHeartRadio features commercial-free digital only stations (which we love!); specialized artist stations (who doesn’t love that?); non-music radio (ehhh) and national programming including 24/7 Comedy Radio, White House Brief, Rock Nation, Fox Sports Radio, AT40 with Ryan Seacrest and celebrity-hosted channels from Christina Aguilera, The Eagles and Maroon 5.
During the soiree, Seacrest tweeted: “Check out my new fav toy, the @iHeartRadio iPad app! Hey @Z100NewYork play some @britneyspears! http://bit.ly/j2FGPm #iHeartParty”
As Rebecca Black would say: fun, fun, fun, fun. (Now, it’d be nice if we had an iPad…)

Pop singer Christina Aguilera has been under plenty of heat lately in the press, but on Tuesday (March 15), X-Tina turned up her own heat by looking slimmer and shimmer-ing at the premiere of NBC’s new show “The Voice” at LA Center Studios.
Aguilera, who is a confirmed judge on the new singing competition show, told MTV: “We’re looking to get more involved with people starting out just like we did. We’re not just making commentary and then going home. We’re getting completely involved. I wish there was a show like this when I was starting. I’m ready to share it all.”
…and we’re ready to see it all!
According to Aguilera, the whole thing will have a very positive vibe. “This isn’t about tearing people down. I want to bring these people up,” she told Entertainment Weekly.
MJ loves positivity!
“The Voice” will premiere on April 26th and feature fellow superstars Cee-Lo Green and Maroon 5′s Adam Levine. Will U tune in?

I was in seventh grade and it was career day and I remember thinking that I wanted to be an entertainment lawyer. I always knew I would be in this business somehow. I think this path worked out way better.
