Pop star Selena Gomez graces the cover of the brand new issue of NYLON Magazine. In the article, the Disney beauty-turned-adult actress opens up to the mag about her upcoming role in the controversial film Spring Breakers, her on-again-off-again relationship with superstar Justin Bieber, and her friendship with American sweetheart, Taylor Swift. Here are some highlights from the interview:

On Justin Bieber and love:
As of press time, it seems like her megawatt relationship with Justin Bieber is on-again—“I’m having fun,” she says coyly of her relationship status—but for the latest updates, please consult your smartphone. “It blows my mind that somebody wakes up every morning and goes to their little office and meets with people to just make stuff up,” says Gomez of her endless and oft-imaginative press coverage. She shrugs it off, refraining from reading the blogs “unless it’s really bad and I need to know.” But surely it’s comforting to date someone who knows the drill. “At the end of the day, love is such a nor- mal thing, and everyone deals with it. Just because it’s a dif- ferent lifestyle doesn’t change the meaning of what I’ve been raised on, which is fairy tales.”

On her role in the family-unfriendly film, Spring Breakers:
“I’ve told parents, ‘Make sure you don’t let your kids see Spring Breakers’, because with the title you could think it would be cute or something. I know it isn’t for the younger generation I have following me, but I’m also about to be 21.”

On experiencing her own Spring Break:
“I don’t think I’ve even had a spring break,” Gomez says. But making the film allowed her to experience it vicariously, “doing things that I would get so much hate and in trouble for,” like under-age drinking, felony narcotics possession, and grand theft auto. “I had to have someone show me how to hold the cigarette,” says Gomez.

On her last tour and shift towards acting:
“if I start doing things because I want to stay relevant or I want people to like me, then I’m just going to be miserable.”

On her friendship with Taylor Swift:
“We both experienced the same things at the same time,” she says. “But we’ve never once talked about our industry. She just became the person I’d go to for an issue with my family or boyfriend. It’s so hard to trust girls, so I’m lucky to have her.”

It’s one of MJ‘s favorite shows of the year — the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – and it airs tonight, December 4th at 10pm on CBS!

 This year’s show features musical acts Rihanna, Bruno Mars, and Justin Bieber and, of course, the beautiful Victoria’s Secret Angels.

I caught up with the band at the Z100 Jingle Ball 2012 kickoff party at the Aeropostale store in Times Square, where they were on hand to perform and to announce the rest of the line-up for the annual concert, which will include Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, One Direction, fun., Ne-Yo, Jason Mraz and many more.

The Z100 Jingle Ball 2012 is taking place at Madison Square Garden on Friday, December 7 at 7:30p.m.

If you haven’t heard the buzz about the new Rolling Stones issue thats about to t hit the stands, let me fill you in!

In the issue, he says he feels like he has matured immensely over the past few years. “I feel like I carry myself in a more manly way,” he told the new issue of Rolling Stone, hitting newsstands Friday. “I don’t carry myself as a boy.”

“On one side he’s probably the most mature and aware teenager on the planet,” Scooter Braun, Justin‘s manager, told the mag. “And on the other side he’s a like kid—like, literally, a kid.”

Rolling Stone’s writer followed Bieber around for a week, where they went to a golf course and had an encounter with paparazzi.

How did the 18-year old respond? He putted golf balls at them, and then told the employee of the golf course that he probably won’t return there again.

Bieber and Braun both understand that fans both dislike and like his relationship with 19 year old pop singer, Selena Gomez. “Yes, there’s gonna be some girls that if they see him with a girlfriend, it kills the dream,” Braun told Rolling Stone, “but there’s also gonna be girls that see him with a girlfriend, hear about the romantic things he does and want him even more.”

Carly Rae Jepsen has spent the last few months preparing for the release of her upcoming album. She has had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the hottest names in music, such as “Owl City,” “Jack Antonoff, the guitarist from the band Fun, and half of “LMFAO.” In an interview with MTV, she said: “The way my album has come together has been sort of a shock for me.”

One of the biggest surprises and excitements she revealed however is that she will be recording with her boss and pop sensation Justin Bieber! She discussed in the interview how the duet with Bieber occured: “It was a song that him and Toby Gad brought to the table and asked [me to record],” she recalled. “Actually, on my first introduction of Bieber, he was like, ‘Do you wanna sing this song?’ I said, ‘Yes!’ I love that track as well, so it was exciting.” 

Jepsen’s hit single “Call Me Maybe” is also #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list for the 5th week in a row. Wow!
