Every year, the stars come out in droves to Park City, Utah for the Sundance Film Festival — where each year it becomes less and less about the films and more and more about the parties and swag suites. For those that don’t know what “swag” means — it’s free sh*t — and the stars love every bit of it! MJ was (un)fortunately not there this year, but here’s a round up of where the stars were out and about all week:
Matthew McConaughey, Ron Livingston and Allison Janey came through the Samsung Galaxy Lounge at the Village At The Lift in Park City to learn about the newest Samsung devices. According to insiders, McConaughey’s not pigging out to gain back weight after dropping nearly 50 pounds for a film role. “Matthew is on a special diet to put on weight, He’s eating fish because it’s healthier.”

From the Hamptons to Hollywood, where were the stars this week?
2012 Olympic Gold Medalist Ryan Lochte gave the ladies quite a show in a white Speedo at Maxim Fridays at TAO Beach, fresh off a night with friends at TAO nightclub. Joined by fellow gold medalist Cullen Jones, the group took in the sunshine from a VIP cabana before making their way to the pool to beat the heat!
Kate Beckinsale, Colin Farrell and Jessica Biel all rolled up to The Vue West End to show their English fans some love! The cast of “Total Recall” were all smiles at the film’s UK premiere in London this week and all looked ‘TOTALly’ hot!
Birthday boy Joe Jonas showed up at a CW shindig celebrating “The Next,” and his birthday in LA this week! “The Next” is a new talent show hosted by Allison Hagendorf that debuted this week! Happy 23rd Birthday, Jo-Bro!
A ton of Tinseltown hotties came out to support Breast Cancer Research this week at Live IN Pink Party! “Twilight Saga” star Nikki Reed was all smiles as she hung around with the rest at the Petit Ermitage Hotel, sporting a lovely pink dress, black leather jacket and black heels. Giuliana Rancic also made an appearance and posed for the paps alongside Reed!
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves hosted the NYLON Guys and Macy’s INC party in Santa Monica this week! The newlyweds celebrated the September Issue of the mag at the brand new Bungalow 8!

Reid Carolin (the director of “Magic Mike”) is already working on the Broadway show!
“Magic Mike” hasn’t opened in theatres yet (its coming this Friday, June 29th) — but Mr. Carolin is already seeing visions for it to be turned into an interactive Broadway show that the audience can participate in!

The movie is being referred to in the media as “the Channing Tatum stripper movie,” but what many of you don’t know is that it is actually a loose interpretation of Channing’s real-life experiences at a Florida strip club! But, Tatum isn’t the only hottie in the movie: the cast also includes hotties Alex Pettyfer, Matthew Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Matthew McConaughey, Olivia Munn, and Gabriel Inglesias amongst others!
All I can say is I CANNOT WAIT to see this movie!
Their beautiful wedding ceremony took place in their Austin, Texas home and they walked down the isle to John Mellencamp. The singer composed an original song based on a Bible verse that the newlyweds chose.
The wedding was far from traditional, being that the couple opted out of the ritual of cutting the cake and the first dance.
The couple danced the night away in a spacious luxury tent and ate delicious Brazilian meats. A wedding guest said, “You could definitely tell Matthew was in love. It was a great night for everyone.”
Congrats, you (gorgeous) two!
Surprise! It’s the Olsen twins!
One of the most powerful (and fashionable) duos in the World, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, sat front row at the QVC Fashion Show on Wednesday night (Feb 8), as did “Extra” host Maria Menounos, “Gossip Girl” star Kelly Rutherford, author-mom-TV personality Kelly Bensimon, Camila Alves socialite Olivia Palermo, “Dancing With The Stars” pro dancer Cheryl Burke, and Star Jones.
Maria Menounos said her favorite collections from the show were those from Geren Ford, Karen Zambos, and Isaac Mizrahi. “I’m going to try to get a piece from each of their lines for my new spring wardrobe,” she said. On Kelly Rutherford’s wish list? “ I’m looking for the perfect pair of jeans. I’m really loving flares right now,” she said.
Newly engaged Camila Alves looked ravishing in red ruffles and talked about Matthew Mcconaughey: “I am really enjoying being engaged right now … no wedding plans as of yet,” she said.

It’s Summertime, so the beaches are heating up, and MJ‘s favorite stars are bearing their bikini bods for the pages of the magazines. But so many people want to know how they, too, can look like the stars… Well, who better to ask than trainer-to-the-stars Harley Pasternak (trainer to stars like Lady Gaga, Jennifer Hudson, Halle Berry, and Alicia Keys)?
MJ: What is the biggest misconception (or what are the biggest misconceptions) about how to lose weight the right way?
Harley: I think the biggest misconception that people have about losing weight the right way is that you have to spend three or four hours a day at the gym or that they have to starve yourself. The truth is, it’s not necessary. You can spend as little as 25 minutes a day at the gym and eat five times a day and still get fantastic results. The key to losing weight the right way, is not about maximizing the amount of exercise that you do, but optimizing it. It’s not about starving yourself, but eating the right foods and the right amount. When you starve yourself, you’re actually slowing down your metabolism and setting yourself up for future weight gain. So don’t starve yourself, don’t spend hours a day at the gym and whatever you do, ask yourself, ‘can I keep this up for the rest of my life?’ If the answer is no, don’t start.
MJ: You train Lady Gaga (among many other stars) and I have always been impressed with her endurance while on stage. She’s singing like crazy while dancing like a maniac. What’s the key to having good endurance? How does one “build up” their endurance?
Harley: Endurance isn’t about maximizing your intensity or increasing the amount you can lift. You need to gradually build up your endurance and work on increasing the length of time you do an exercise at a certain intensity. So don’t get discouraged if your endurance isn’t at the level as Lady Gaga…yet! Just keep training and keep a positive attitude.
MJ: Jennifer Hudson looks incredible but she couldn’t have lost all the weight on just Weight Watchers alone. She had to do some serious training in the gym. How many hours would you estimate J-Hud spends working out nowadays to maintain her bod? What kinds of exercises did you do with J-Hud to slim down her figure?
Harley: Many people overestimate the amount of time celebs train at the gym. Often times, many celebrities are just as busy as anyone else. Jennifer Hudson is an incredible woman and a great client. To get Jennifer in the shape that she’s in now, she gradually increased the amount of cardio that she did on a daily basis. We got her taking walks with her baby and we slowly added in resistance training. She started doing these 25 minute 5 factor workouts daily and adding that in along with her nutrition program. And she went from doing one a day once a week resistant workouts to two, three, four, five times a week and now exercise is just a part of her everyday life.
MJ: It’s Summertime so people are headed to the beach. What are some of your favorite beach (or poolside!) workouts ala Matthew Mcconaughey?
Harley: The beach is a great place to do exercise! There are many different exercises you can do on the beach. You can go for a walk or go running. You can put a towel down, get a suntan and every once in a while do some abdominal movements or squats. What’s great about the beach is it’s not a flat surface, so simple exercises can challenge different muscles and different parts of your body.
