Pop star Selena Gomez graces the cover of the brand new issue of NYLON Magazine. In the article, the Disney beauty-turned-adult actress opens up to the mag about her upcoming role in the controversial film Spring Breakers, her on-again-off-again relationship with superstar Justin Bieber, and her friendship with American sweetheart, Taylor Swift. Here are some highlights from the interview:

On Justin Bieber and love:
As of press time, it seems like her megawatt relationship with Justin Bieber is on-again—“I’m having fun,” she says coyly of her relationship status—but for the latest updates, please consult your smartphone. “It blows my mind that somebody wakes up every morning and goes to their little office and meets with people to just make stuff up,” says Gomez of her endless and oft-imaginative press coverage. She shrugs it off, refraining from reading the blogs “unless it’s really bad and I need to know.” But surely it’s comforting to date someone who knows the drill. “At the end of the day, love is such a nor- mal thing, and everyone deals with it. Just because it’s a dif- ferent lifestyle doesn’t change the meaning of what I’ve been raised on, which is fairy tales.”

On her role in the family-unfriendly film, Spring Breakers:
“I’ve told parents, ‘Make sure you don’t let your kids see Spring Breakers’, because with the title you could think it would be cute or something. I know it isn’t for the younger generation I have following me, but I’m also about to be 21.”

On experiencing her own Spring Break:
“I don’t think I’ve even had a spring break,” Gomez says. But making the film allowed her to experience it vicariously, “doing things that I would get so much hate and in trouble for,” like under-age drinking, felony narcotics possession, and grand theft auto. “I had to have someone show me how to hold the cigarette,” says Gomez.

On her last tour and shift towards acting:
“if I start doing things because I want to stay relevant or I want people to like me, then I’m just going to be miserable.”

On her friendship with Taylor Swift:
“We both experienced the same things at the same time,” she says. “But we’ve never once talked about our industry. She just became the person I’d go to for an issue with my family or boyfriend. It’s so hard to trust girls, so I’m lucky to have her.”

The campaign, started by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, comes a week after the horrific massacre in Newtown and amid the polarizing debate rippling through the U.S. about gun violence and the Second Amendment.

Looking into the camera, they read through a list of some of the 31 similar attacks carried out in the US since Columbine in 1999.

If you haven’t heard the buzz about the new Rolling Stones issue thats about to t hit the stands, let me fill you in!

In the issue, he says he feels like he has matured immensely over the past few years. “I feel like I carry myself in a more manly way,” he told the new issue of Rolling Stone, hitting newsstands Friday. “I don’t carry myself as a boy.”

“On one side he’s probably the most mature and aware teenager on the planet,” Scooter Braun, Justin‘s manager, told the mag. “And on the other side he’s a like kid—like, literally, a kid.”

Rolling Stone’s writer followed Bieber around for a week, where they went to a golf course and had an encounter with paparazzi.

How did the 18-year old respond? He putted golf balls at them, and then told the employee of the golf course that he probably won’t return there again.

Bieber and Braun both understand that fans both dislike and like his relationship with 19 year old pop singer, Selena Gomez. “Yes, there’s gonna be some girls that if they see him with a girlfriend, it kills the dream,” Braun told Rolling Stone, “but there’s also gonna be girls that see him with a girlfriend, hear about the romantic things he does and want him even more.”

On Sunday, pop star Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez took a break from working to roam the streets of Tokyo, Japan. While they were out, the couple stopped to snap a cute picture(above) to share with their fans. The picture, which Selena posted to her facebook page, was captioned, “Hi Japan. I heart you.”

The couple flew to Tokyo a little ahead of Justin’s promo tour for his hit new album “Believe.” “Excited to be back in Japan to see some of the best fans on earth and my guys at Smap Smap!” tweeted Bieber. “Great day exploring in Tokyo. Ready to go hard tomorrow”

It looks like they are having a blast!

More performers for the 2012 Teen Choice Awards have been announced and Fox has confirmed that pop singer Justin Bieber is set to take the stage during the upcoming July 22 event!

Bieber will join other stars including “Call Me Maybe” singer Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida , No Doubt, and “Jersey Shore” star DJ Pauly D who is the DJ for the night. July 22 is also Justin’s girlfriend Selena Gomez’s 20th birthday. She has confirmed her attendance at the event so maybe he will have a surprise for her. I guess we will have to wait and see!

Aside from his performance, Justin Bieber has earned multiple nominations for this year’s Teen Choice Awards in various music categories including Choice Summer Song and Choice Male Summer Music Star.

Make sure to watch the awards which are scheduled to air live on FOX on July 22 from 8:00-10:00 P.M!

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez locked lips at the Lakers games at the Staples Center in L.A. on Tuesday.

The lovebirds were featured on the kiss cam and participated in a friendly rivalry – Justin was cheering for the Lakers, while Selena was rooting for the San Antonio Spurs!

The game ended with the Spurs beating the Lakers in a score of  112 to 91.
